SEO Best Practice Techniques

  • Create quality content by using good keywords consistently within your content - spiders will be able to find the content and rank your website accordingly
  • Use Long Tail Keywords to give your website the edge in SEO 1
  • Design your website with creating a good user experience in mind. The flow on effect is that this generates links and your site will receive more traffic
  • Flash, Javascript and image text are not visible to search engines - limit the use of these scripts on the home page
  • Use Meta Description correctly - if you have good Meta Descriptions, search engines such as Google will use this as the snippet to appear in the search results
  • Don’t use Meta Keywords - these Metatags are -techniquesno longer used by Google and have little effect on rankings from other search engines. The Keyword Metatag has been the target for too much spamming to be considered useful.
